After searching for a while for gen. liability insurance, I've found Specialty Insurance Agency out of Wisconsin. Their policy seems to good and easy to be true. Does anyone have any experience with this particular company? If not, can anyone recommend a good insurance company for food vending? Thanks for this forum; it has been very helpful.

Building your on trailer

I'm currently in the planning stages of a concession biz, I've pretty much decided to build my own trailer. While trying to source construction items, vent fans, cabniets, ect.

Popcorn Concessions

I'm considering a Popcorn Concession trailer. I like the thought of ease of operation and profit margin, but am unsure of the popularity of such an item at festivals and car shows. I'm not really interested in fairs or amusement sites. So, a few questions:

IS this a popular item as a stand alone (flavored popcorns)?

Would you suggest offering beverages?

If so, bottled, canned or fountain?

I am just getting started on my venture. I want to open a BBQ stand and the state tells me I need a Commissary in order to operate. They must have a DBPR Licenses. Does anyone know how I would begin to search for this. I feel another restaurant would feel I would be competing against them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!

Cart vs. Vending truck

What are the pros and cons to of vending carts opposed vending trucks in a big city like Boston? Also, how do I drop of my cart at my vending location, if I'm a one man operation, and park my car a few blocks away, without my stand getting stolen/vandalized? Furthermore, if I were to get a cart, how can I lock up my equipment if I were to run an errand?

Hello, all. Any ideas on a low-cost portable handwash sink up to Florida codes? The code requires a "hand wash sink with hot and cold potable water under pressure..."

I am looking for something small and cheap---maybe even ideas on how to build one. I sell fresh-squeezed lemonade primarily at farmers' markets and festivals. No cart or trailer: tent, tables, coolers, so I need to be able to move it from my vehicle to the site (normally only a few feet).

Florida regulations

Hello, can anyone help me with the concession/ vending trailer rules and regulations in Florida? I cant get in touch with any inspectors.
All the gov. sayd is get paperwork filed and wait for inspection. I know some of the rules but worried abi=out spending a lot of money and not being able to use the trailer. I have already got a site approval from the city in which I am going to operate.
Any help will be appreciated.
