You would think that you can find absolutely anything on the Internet. Perhaps you can, but in my case, I'm having a hard time finding sites that I can communicate with seasoned mobile food concession vendors that can give me the pros and cons of getting into the concession business. In other words, I believe in learning from other peoples mistakes and successes.
The "concession business equipment and supply companies"...well, they make it all seem so simple and the opportunity of a life time. I'm business experience and old enough to know that any business takes "beyond the call-of-duty dedication" endurance and stamina to weather the ups and downs.
I just can't take another ad that implies instant success and riches. With that being said, I think for those of you that have experience understand my point.
I want to get in the business, but I'm not so sure I want to travel any circuit following trade shows, fairs, or the like. I live in a small tourist town in the Texas Hill Country. I would like to have a mobile place of business, but I want to setup and stay pretty much stationary in or around my home area. There are always events and things going on all around my home town that bring a lot of traffic.
Sooo....now, what's the scoop? I really need some clear and concise advise...someone who's been there, someone who is willing to talk with me via phone or perhaps even email.
That's my deal and I'm stickin to it!
Thanks Yall,
Gregg
